April- Ana signed with Element Talent Agency for Commercial representation. Lauren Zak is now her agent in the United States.

Spanish  Short  Film

April- Ana booked the leading role in a short film that will be directed by Mainak Dhar and intirely shot in Spanish.

History  Channel  Series

April- Ana shot two episodes for a new History Channel Documentary/ Series produced by Flight 33.

January- ​Ana got her Artist Visa and came back to Los Angeles.

Separar 's  First  Nomination

October- Separar will be at the Connect Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia, where it is nominated for THE BECHDEL AWARD. "The Bechdel Award" highlights superb achievement in portraying nuanced female characters.
In Fe
bruary, the short film staring Ana Lopes and Anais Yebra will also be at the TCL Chinese Mann Theater for the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series.

February- ...Where Is She Now? premiered in London at the Film Fest International, where it was nominated for four awards: Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography. The feature film ended up winning the Best Film and Best Director awards.

​October- The Feature Film Uma Cidade Entre Nós was chosen from more than 1,200 films from 73 countries for the Official Selection I Filmmaker International Film Festival in Marbella (Malaga) - Spain.

June- Portuguese director Diana Antunes was in Los Angeles and invited Ana to play the lead, Sumner, in her short film, Free Sofa.

Academia  Portuguesa  de  Cinema

March 10- Ana became a member of the Portuguese Cinema Academy.

Film  Premiere

February 22- On the Oscars night, Ana attended the feature film Reed's premiere in Santa Monica, with one of the stars of the movie, actress Monica Cabral.

Back  in  Hollywood

January 30- While living in London, Ana auditioned for American Acting school TVI Actors Studio. She was then awarded a scholarship to study there, which would allow her to go back to the United States, have more training and improve her Acting skills.

She took the offer, embraced the challenge and is back in Los Angeles!

Meeting  with  Deputy José  Andrade

January 21- Dr. José Andrade, member of the Legislative Assembly of the Azores, was one of the people who went to 9500 Cineclube to watch Uma Cidade Entre Nós and had to leave, as the room was already full when he and his wife arrived. However, he and Ana had a very productive meeting, where they discussed several Cultural issues.

Extra  Screening  and  Rosa  no Verde

January 17:
- The second screening of Uma Cidade Entre Nós was a success as well.

- Ana was the guest in third season's first episode of Rosa no Verde, an SMTV TV Talk Show hosted by Tânia Lopes and Andréa De Sousa.

Full  House  at  9500  Cineclube

January 16- Uma Cidade Entre Nós' screening was a success and the number of viewers exceeded all expectations. Lots of people had to stand, sit on the floor or leave. An extra screening was booked for the next day for those who didn't fit inside the Cinema. 

Highly recognizable figures of the Azores cultural scene were present, such as director Zeca Medeiros, the President of RTP-A and actor José Maria Pacheco.

January 15- Ana went to the daily show Açores Hoje to promote Uma Cidade Entre Nós and talk about her latest professional achievements. Here is the interview with host Sílvia Martins.

January 9- Ana was interviewed by Vasco Pernes in the program Interilhas, an Antena 1 radio show.

January 10- Ana was the guest in O Mundo Aqui, a one hour program hosted by Maninho, also for Antena 1.

January 14- Miguel Valério interviewed Ana in his Canal FM radio show.

January 15- At Rádio Atlântida Ana had another fun conversation about her career and the screening of her movie, now with Margarida Portela.

UMA  CIDADE  ENTRE  NÓS  Premiere

November 30- Dread Monkey Audiovisuais' feature film,  in which Ana plays the lead, premiered at In Impetus in Lisbon. Ana travelled from London just to attend the event. The house was full and the movie had great reviews.

November 2012- May 2013- Ana played the lead, Joana, in the new Dread Monkey Audiovisuais film, Uma Cidade Entre Nós, directed by Maria João Ferreira.

Animation- Voice

November 2012- Ana is lending her voice, for the first time, to an animation project about the Portuguese poet Camilo Pessanha. She is playing one of his Chinese lovers. This short film, Branco e Vermelho, is being produced by Bookcase Films and directed by Luís Vaz.

November 2012- Ana was a member of the Caminhos do Cinema Português Official Jury. Last year, one of her films competed and another one screened in this same Film Festival.

May 2011- A Casa ao Lado premiered at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

New  York  Film  Festival 

March 2011- A Casa ao Lado, the over 30 minutes short film in which Ana plays the lead, was selected for exhibition at the New York Fim Festival and awarded very good reviews from the selection panel.

Host

March 2011- Ana hosted a Fado show at Centro Cultural de Belém. Both Fado de Coimbra and Fado de Lisboa (staring Amália Rodrigues' guitarists Luís Ribeiro and Lelo Nogueira) were introduced to an international audience.

Next  Films

February 2010- Ana auditioned for the only female character in Verdade Inconveniente and for the leading role in Wish's Irony and booked both parts. She will shoot the first short film in March and the second one in April.

Amo-te  Bébé 

February 2011- Ana is playing Margarida, the lead in Filipe Ganilho's first film. 

New  Short  Films

January 2011- Ana was the lead in Numa Fracção de Segundo, a short film directed by Miguel Costa, with Filipe Vargas. 

She is getting ready for a project she will shoot in Porto during next week and has booked two more short films: Amo-te Bébé and Psique.

Schogetten   and   O  tenente

October 2010- Both the comedy directed by André Marques and the drama directed by Rafael Martins keep being selected for festivals and being shown around the country and the world. FIKE, YOUKI, Doi Saket, MoteLx, OvarVídeo and Faial Film Fest are some of the Film Festivals where Ana can be seen on screen. Today, O Tenente  screens at VGIK in Russia and, on November 1st, it can be seen at Fnac do Colombo. 

Vintage

September 2010- Ana stared in the short film Vintage, with Edmundo Vieira and Hugo Rendas. It was directed by José Azevedo, produced by Yellow Pictures and shot in Foz Côa. The director of photografy was Steve Mims.

A  Casa  ao  Lado

June/ July 2010- Ana booked the lead part in the short film A Casa ao Lado through a taped audition. It will be directed by Maria João Ferreira and shot from July 18 to July 31 in Sintra. Pedro Rodil, Júlia Belard and Ramón Martinez will also star in this Dread Monkey's production.

Tremoços  e  Imperiais

June 2010- Tremoços e Imperiais' production begins. In this webseries, Ana will play Teresa, a cute, popular and rich university student who has to deal with her best friend's pranks on a daily basis.

Lost  in  Azores

June 2010- Ana played The Other in the comedic webseries Lost in Azores, directed by Luís Filipe Borges and produced by Pangemedia Global. António Raminhos, Hélio Arcanjo, Rita Mendes and Ana Luísa Barbosa played the characters who got lost in the Azores five nominated wonders after their plane crashed. Edmundo Díaz was the Director of Photograpfy and the first webisode will air in the end of July.

Femina

April 2010- Ana was cast in a principal role in Femina, Matt Cimber's new feature film. 

She will play Bridgette, a Swedish nursing student and the flirtatious lead's roommate and will shoot in Portimão in 2011. This movie is the first of eleven Hollywood pictures that will be produced by Picture Portugal. Sónia Braga and well known Portuguese actors will also star in this project.


Short  Films

March 2010- Ana booked five more short films: 
  • Acredita, in which she will play the lead's wife. It is being produced by Escola Superior de Comunicação Social (ESCS).
  • Mulier, also produced by ESCS. Ana will play Julia, the lead.
  • Zero, with Júlio César and other well known Portuguese actors. It will be directed by Hélio Félix.
  • O Céu Pode Esperar, produced by Escola de Artes e Design das Caldas da Rainha
  • Encanto Abstracto, directed by Rita Pereira. Ana will be the lead.

Commercials

March 2010:
- Ana played the sexy secretary in a Toyota commercial that is going to air on Belgian TV and on the internet.

- Ana played the receptionist in a Vedior/ Tempo Team commercial, directed by João Antero.

February 2010- Ana has just finished shooting a comedic short film with the awarded filmmaker André Marques.

September 2009- Ana and Bruno Ávila's project proposal was accepted by RTP Açores TV channel and is in pre-production. Check-In is a weekly TV show that the two of them are going to host. September 2009- Ana was interviewed on RDP Açores radio station.

September 2009- Ana was one of the guests on 5 Para a Meia-Noite, a Portuguese talk show hosted by Luís Filipe Borges, that airs at 5 to midnight on RTP2.

August 2009- Photo shoot with Hilda Mercado for the feature film Provocation's trailer.

E! Entertainment  Television

July/ August 2009- The show True Hollywood Story Investigates: Serial Killers on the Loose, in which Ana plays several victims will air on the 25th of July at 3 PM, on the 28th at 5 PM and on the 2nd of August at 7 AM on E.

Meant

July 2009- Ana will be rehearsing and shooting Meant, Victor Padilla's new short film, and she will play Claudia, the lead.

New  Projects

July 2009- Ana has just finished shooting Eve is Dead and will be shooting two other projects in July: a feature's trailer directed by Dale Fabrigar and a short film directed by Victor Padilla. Ana is also getting new headshots with Joanna Brooks.

Hollywood

June 2009- Ana has just arrived to Los Angeles. She has restarted shooting On The Verge, has three auditions in the next few days and is gonna take more acting classes with Marjo-Riikka Makela.

Los Angeles

June 2009- Ana is going to Los Angeles to finish shooting the WRDF On the Verge and to possibly act in the next Ascentia Films' feature.


Dialogues
'  Premiere  in  Switzerland

March 2009- After working with director Owen Land in his latest feature Dialogues, Ana was invited to go to Bern (Switzerland) as his Anima to read a lecture written by him at the movie's premiere and opening of his film work exhibition at Kunsthalle Bern Museum on April 3rd.



Short  Film

January 2009- Ana booked a short film that was shot in Lisbon during February. She played Teresa and co-starred with Hugo Ramos. The film was directed by the Academia's filmmaking students.

Lecture  at  Aveiro  University

November- Ana was invited by Núcleo de Estudantes de Novas Tecnologias da Comunicação to do a lecture at Aveiro University about the differences between Portuguese and American Cinema and to talk about her experience in Film in Europe and in the United States.

March 8- Uma Cidade Entre Nós was selected for the Underground FilmFest in Munich, Germany.

Best  Supporting  Actress  Nomination

January 31- Even though she only had a short appearance in Rafael Antunes' awarded short film, O Tenente, Ana got to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress in this year's edition of the Dreams Short Fest.

Meeting  with  the  Mayor

January 28- Ana had the honour of meeting with Ponta Delgada's Mayor, Dr. José Bolieiro, who was very interested in learning more about her achievements and goals.

AgriDoce

January 24- Ana Lopes and André Menezes Melo were the guests of João Figueiredo and Susana Ri, the hosts of Rádio Atlântica's weekly program Agridoce. Besides talking about the success of the film's screening and her experience as an actress, Ana had a blast playing some funny games during (and after!) the interview.

October 2014- Ana signed with Langford Associates, a London agency that represents legendary film, TV and stage actors like Fenella Fielding, Simon Gregson and Sheila Steafel. 

Where  is  She  Now?

September 2014- Ana shot a scene in London for John Henry Richardson's feature mockumentary Where is She Now?, which is being filmed in Los Angeles and in seven European countries.

April 2014- While in her native country, Ana was interviewed by Luís Filipe Borges, António Raminhos and Pedro Fernandes for Antena 3 radio station's program Fora do 5. 

5   Para   a  Meia -Noite   Wins  Best  TV  Program  Award

April 2014- Ana was in Portugal for a couple of weeks and acted in a few more sketches for the TV Show 5 Para a Meia-Noite, in which she used to be a Regular when she lived in Lisbon. 

The show just won, for the second time, the Best TV Entertainment Program award at the TV7Dias Ceremony. 

Comedy  Reel

February 2014- Ana launched her new reel with pieces of her last years' comedy roles.

Expatriate

July 2013- Ana will play Maria, a role created especially for her, by writer and director Renato Lucas.The feature will be shot in Cascais and Alentejo, during July, and post-production will happen in Los Angeles.

London

May 2013- Ana was hired as a TV Producer, Reporter and Voice Over Artist for the Brazilian channel Record TV, in London, and has moved there. She has also been auditioning and exploring the Acting business in her new hometown.

August 2012/ May 2013- Ana was a regular in the talk-show 5 para a Meia-Noite's comedy sketches. This particular one, where she swears with her island's accent, got approximately 20.000 views on youtube in a single day.

February 2013- Ana launched her new reel with pieces of her last years' dramatic works.

Nova  Ordem

November 2012- This was the first day of Nova Ordem's shooting, a futuristic short film, directed by Miguel Cipriano and Jorge Humberto, in which Ana plays the lead.

November 2012- An interview with Ana for the newspaper Terra Nostra was published. Ana talked not only about her last projects and her career as an actress, but also about her producing role in Tremoços & Imperiais. Quarta  Divisão  - Voice

October 2012- Ana played a hotel receptionist from São Miguel (Azores) in Joaquim Leitão's next feature film, Quarta Divisão. She was invited to lend her voice for this scene thanks to her natural accent.

October 2012- The first Tremoços & Imperiais episode aired today at the series online channel. Every week, one or more videos will be released in SAPO VÍDEOS, including interviews and bloopers. The episodes will be launched on Thursdays.

September 2012- Ana acted in Kumpania Algazarra's Music Video Pudim, directed by Alexandre Cebrian Valente.

One  Night  to  Remember

September 2012- Ana played Katherine, a movie lover and mysterious English girl, in One Night to Remember. This short film was directed by Andreia Fangueiro and shot in Aveiro and Porto. Alexandre da Silva played the male lead.

5  para  a  Meia-Noite

August/ September 2012- Ana has been acting in some sketches for the portuguese late night TV show 5 para a Meia-Noite, in which she was one of the guests in 2009.

Fado  Music  Video

August 2012- Ana played the lead in the music video Ou Tarde ou Cedo, from Fado singer Clara Sevivas.

New  Short  Films

June 2012- Ana played a nun (Carolina) in Alice Sanche's film Oitavo Pecado and will play a professional thief (Lúcia) in Interruptor, a short written by Gonçalo Piçarra and directed by Diogo Leitão.

Artur   in  New  York 

June 2012- Artur premieres in the United States at the NY Portuguese Short Film Festival 2012 and screens, at the same time, at Hard Club Porto. 

During June, Flávio Pires' film will also screen at Auditório Carlos Paredes, in Lisbon, and at PUFF- Portugal Underground Film Festival, in Algarve.


Artur

February 2012- The mockumentary directed by Flávio Pires was selected for two more 2012 Film Festivals: Fantasporto, in Portugal, and Festibérico, in Netherlands.


A  Viagem  do  Sr.  Ulisses

January 2012- Plural Entertainment invited Ana to play a Prostitute (again) in the TV Movie A Viagem do Sr. Ulisses, that will be directed by Jorge Queiroga. The movie will be shot during March and will air on RTP channel.

Lovely   Lies

January 2012- Ana played Annette in Eduardo Castro Fonseca's short film Lovely Lies. The film is being shot in California and produced by San Diego State University, but all of Ana's scene was shot in Lisbon.

Shooting  Heresia

November/ December 2011- Ana is playing Cândida in Heresia, which pilot is being produced by Frame in Viana do Castelo.


Caminhos  do  Cinema  Português

November 2011- Artur screens at Centro Cultural D. Dinis and A Casa ao Lado screens at Teatro Académico Gil Vicente, in Coimbra, during the Caminhos do Cinema Português Festival.

Heresia 

November 2011- After being invited by the writer Frederico Honório to be part of the main cast of this Portuguese horror/ science fiction series, Ana and the other Heresia actors went to Viana do Castelo, in order to start building their characters during an Artists in Residence Program, conducted by Pedro Manana.

Rebobinar

October 2011- Ana was invited to produce a package of short films about contemporary relationships, together with Bookcase Films, as well as to play the lead in the one that will be shot first: Rebobinar.

Vintage

October 2011- The short film, developed during the ZON Intensive Script Development Lab 2010 and shot in Douro, screens at Cinemateca Portuguesa. 

Shooting Tremoços  &  Imperiais

July 2011-  Ana is playing Teresa in Tremoços & Imperiais, the series she is also producing. 

Açores  9

June 2011- Ana was interviewed for the June 2011 edition of the Azorean newspaper Açores 9.

Fado  Photo  Shoot

June 2011- Ana posed as a Fado singer at Maria Henriques' photo shoot for Fado- Candidate to Immaterial Humanity Patrimony.  

Tremoços  &  Imperiais  Production

May 2011- Ana is the Tremoços e Imperiais new producer, as well as one of the webseries main characters. After a year of suspension, shooting will restart in mid June.

Next  Premiere 

May 2011- Verdade Inconveniente staring Ana, Luís Filipe de Almeida and Giovanni Lourenço premieres in Cascais.

Arrábida  Short  FIlm

May 2011- Ana will shoot Iniciais, a short film that will participate at "Arrábida Curtas e Docs" competition.

Wish's  Irony

April 2011- Ana is shooting Wish's Irony.

TV

March/ April 2011- Ana booked a commercial and two series: TOC (Traição, Ódio e Cumplicidade) and NIC (Núcleo de Investigação Criminal). TOC's four episodes will be directed by Cristiano Silva, Daniela Caetano, David Loureiro and João Tomás and shoot during April and May.

Ana has been rehearsing for the role of Katleena in Anna Silvson's film Wish's Irony.

Psique,  Commercials  and  Remake

January/ February 2011- After shooting Psique with filmmaker Rita Gonçalves, Ana acted in three commercials that were also directed by Universidade Lusófona's students. Ricardo Lisboa directed the GlobalMars commercial, as well as a remake of Vanilla Sky's key scenes, in which Ana played Sofia.

PORTUGUESE  TIMES

November 2010- An interview with Ana was published on the New Bedford newspaper Portuguese Times.

VENTOS  DA  REPÚBLICA

October 2010- Ana performed at the Coliseu Micaelense, next to Zeca Medeiros and other artists from the Azores islands. Her character represented all the Azorean people a century ago, when the Portuguese First Republic was proclaimed. The play was written by Armando Moreira, who also directed the show. 

O Tenente aired twice on the Portuguese TV channel SIC Notícias.

May/ June 2010- Ana finished shooting Mulier and shot the feature film Hannah and the short films Acredita, Ambições, O Tenente and Sentidos.

Azores'  Wonders

April 2010- Ana was invited to play one of the characters in a webseries that will promote the five Wonders of the Azores. The webisodes will be shot in the islands of São Miguel, Terceira, Pico and Graciosa in June.

Updates

April 2010- Ana is shooting Mulier and has booked another short film (O Tenente) and the new webseries Tremoços e Imperiais. 

In a few days she will shoot the short Acredita and a feature film, in which she plays the only character in the whole movie. 

Horror  Film

March 2010- Ana is shooting the 30 minute horror short film Linha Ténue, directed by Tiago Dias.

The  Actor   Lecture

March 2010- Ana was invited to give a lecture at Mafra's Senior University, to talk about her experience as an actress in Portugal and in the United States.

Check-In    Premiere

February 2010- Check-In premieres on RTP-Açores and will air every Monday night after the news. The release party was on January 29.

Short  Films

January/ February 2010- Ana has been playing the female lead in several short films produced by Universidade Lusófona: O Morto, O Anel and Parte de Mim.


Producing  and  Hosting

September/ December 2009- Ana has been producing and hosting the new TV Show Check-In. The last two episodes will be shot on the 22nd and the show will start airing in February 2010.

The  One  Nighter

July 2009- Ana was featured in the independent feature film The One Nighter, directed by Jill Jaress.

Shooting  Meant 

July/ August- Ana is still shooting Meant, the second short-film in 2009 in which she plays a role written specifically for her.

New  Short  Film

June/ July 2009- Ana is currently rehearsing the new short film she is going to star in: Eve is Dead, directed by S. Mohen. She will be playing Raquel and the film is going to be shot at the beginning of July.

New  TV  Series

May 2009- Ana booked another guest-star role in the new Portuguese TV series Perfeito Coração, an SP Televisão production for the Portuguese channel SIC. She was going to play a nurse, but had to turn down the part because the shooting dates interfere with her plans in L.A.

Directing

April 2009- Ana took a Filmmaking workshop with Miguel Estima in Coimbra, during the Caminhos do Cinema Português Film Festival. 



TV  Series

February 2009- Ana booked a guest-star role in the Portuguese TV series Podia Acabar o Mundo. She shot during March and her scenes can be seen on the Portuguese TV  channel SIC from May 11th onwards.

Artists-in-Residence  Program

January 2009- Ana was selected to stay in Póvoa de Lanhoso for two months and be part of an Artists-in-Residence Program. The goal was to go through an intensive actor's workout with the director Moncho Rodriguez and perform in two shows: O Cálice da Alegria and Da Pedra ao Sonho.
