June 2- Ana posed as a Fado singer at Maria Henriques' photo shoot for Fado- Candidate to Immaterial Humanity Patrimony.  


Noiva Precisa-se

May & June- Ana was selected to play Nanda, a cheap but very nice prostitute, in the first TVI Movie Noiva Precisa-se, directed by Jorge Cardoso and produced by Plural Entertainment.

Tremoços e Imperiais

Ana is the Tremoços e Imperiais new producer, as well as one of the webseries main characters. After a year of suspension, shooting will restart in mid June.

Dualismo

May 21- Ana played Daniela in Apenas Eu, a short film directed by Susana Bernardo.

TV

March/ April- Ana booked a commercial and two series: TOC (Traição, Ódio e Cumplicidade) and NIC (Núcleo de Investigação Criminal). TOC's four episodes will be directed by Cristiano Silva, Daniela Caetano, David Loureiro and João Tomás and shoot during April and May.

Ana has been rehearsing for the role of Katleena in Anna Silvson's film Wish's Irony.

New York Film Festival 

March 15- A Casa ao Lado, the over 30 minutes short film in which Ana plays the lead, was selected for exhibition at the New York Fim Festival and awarded very good reviews from the selection panel.

Host

March 12- Ana hosted a Fado show at Centro Cultural de Belém. Both Fado de Coimbra and Fado de Lisboa (staring Amália Rodrigues' guitarists Luís Ribeiro and Lelo Nogueira) were introduced to an international audience.

Next Films

February 25 and 26- Ana auditioned for the only female character in Verdade Inconveniente and for the leading role in Wish's Irony and booked both parts. She will shoot the first short film in March and the second one in April.

Amo-te Bébé 

February 19/23-Ana is playing Margarida, the lead in Filipe Ganilho's first film. 

Psique, Commercials and Remake

January 29/ February- After shooting Psique with filmmaker Rita Gonçalves, Ana acted in three commercials that were also directed by Universidade Lusófona's students. Ricardo Lisboa directed the GlobalMars commercial, as well as a remake of Vanilla Sky's key scenes, in which Ana played Sofia.

2011

January 12- Ana was the lead in Numa Fracção de Segundo, a short film directed by Miguel Costa, with Filipe Vargas

She is getting ready for a project she will shoot in Porto during next week and has booked three more short films: Amo-te BébéPsique and The Wall.

Blend

November 28- Ana played the lead in the music video Esquece o Talvez, directed by Rita Gonçalves. This is an original song of the Portuguese band Blend.

Portuguese Times

November 10- An interview with Ana was published on the New Bedford newspaper Portuguese Times.

Last Bookings

October- Ana was cast as the female lead in a mockumentary that will be shot in January and was selected to act in an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol. This Christmas, she will be performing on dozens of stages all over Portugal. 

Schogetten and O Tenente

October 28- Both the comedy directed by André Marques and the drama directed by Rafael Martins keep being selected for festivals and being shown around the country and the world. FIKE, YOUKI, Doi Saket, MoteLx, OvarVídeo and Faial Film Fest are some of the Film Festivals where Ana can be seen on screen. Today, O Tenente  screens at VGIK in Russia and, on November 1st, it can be seen at Fnac do Colombo. 

Ventos da República

October 5- Ana performed at the Coliseu Micaelense, next to Zeca Medeiros and other artists from the Azores islands. Her character represented all the Azorean people a century ago, when the Portuguese First Republic was proclaimed. The play was written by Armando Moreira, who also directed the show. 

O Tenente aired twice on the Portuguese TV channel SIC Notícias. 

Vintage

September- Ana stared in the short film Vintage, with Edmundo Vieira and Hugo Rendas. It was directed by José Azevedo, produced by Yellow Pictures and shot in Foz Côa. The director of photografy was Steve Mims.

A Casa ao Lado

June/ July- Ana booked the lead part in the short film A Casa ao Lado through a taped audition. It will be directed by Maria João Ferreira and shot from July 18 to July 31 in Sintra. Pedro Rodil, Júlia Belard and Ramón Martinez will also star in this Dread Monkey's production.

Tremoços e Imperiais

June 21- Tremoços e Imperiais' production begins. In this webseries, Ana will play Teresa, a cute, popular and rich university student who has to deal with her best friend's pranks on a daily basis.

Lost in Azores

June 7/ June 13- Ana played The Other in the comedic webseries Lost in Azores, directed by Luís Filipe Borges and produced by Pangemedia GlobalAntónio Raminhos, Hélio Arcanjo, Rita Mendes and Ana Luísa Barbosa played the characters who got lost in the Azores five nominated wonders after their plane crashed. Edmundo Díaz was the Director of Photograpfy and the first webisode will air in the end of July.

Films in Post-Production

May/ June- Ana finished shooting Mulier and shot the feature film Hannah and the short films Acredita, Ambições, O Tenente and Sentidos.

Femina

April 30- Ana was cast in a principal role in Femina, Matt Cimber's new feature film. 

She will play Bridgette, a Swedish nursing student and the flirtatious lead's roommate and will shoot in Portimão in 2011. This movie is the first of eleven Hollywood pictures that will be produced by Picture Portugal. Sónia Braga and well known Portuguese actors will also star in this project.


Azores' Wonders

April 23- Ana was invited to play one of the characters in a webseries that will promote the five Wonders of the Azores. The webisodes will be shot in the islands of São Miguel, Terceira, Pico and Graciosa in June.

April 21- Ana has just finished shooting the pilot Dois D'Aluguer and is shooting Mulier

In the meanwhile she has booked another short film (O Tenente) and the new webseries Tremoços e Imperiais

In a few days she will shoot the short Acredita and a no-budget feature film, in which she plays the only character in the whole movie.

March 31- Ana booked five more short films: 
  • Acredita, in which she will play the lead's wife. It is being produced by Escola Superior de Comunicação Social (ESCS).
  • Mulier, also produced by ESCS. Ana will play Julia, the lead.
  • Zero, with Júlio César and other well known Portuguese actors. It will be directed by Hélio Félix.
  • O Céu Pode Esperar, produced by Escola de Artes e Design das Caldas da Rainha
  • Encanto Abstracto, directed by Rita Pereira. Ana will be the lead.

TV Pilot

March 30- Ana booked the female principal role in the TV Pilot Dois D'Aluguer, produced by Said'Cena.

Horror Film

March 27- Ana is shooting the 30 minute horror short film Linha Ténue, directed by Tiago Dias.

The Actor Lecture

March 11-Ana was invited to give a lecture at Mafra's Senior University, to talk about her experience as an actress in Portugal and in the United States.

Commercials

March 27- Ana played the sexy secretary in a Toyota commercial that is going to air on Belgian TV and on the internet.

March 14- Ana played the receptionist in a Vedior/ Tempo Team commercial, directed by João Antero.

Check-In Premiere

February 22-Check-In premieres on RTP-Açores and will air every Monday night after the news. The release party was on January 29.

February 8- Ana has just finished shooting a comedic short film with the awarded filmmaker André Marques.

January/ February- Ana has been playing the female lead in several short films produced by Universidade Lusófona: O Morto, O Anel and Parte de Mim.

September 28/ December 22- Ana has been producing and hosting the new TV Show Check-In. The last two episodes will be shot on the 22nd and the show will start airing in February 2010.

Bom Dia Açores

September 30- Ana was one of the guests on Bom Dia Açores, a daily magazine TV show that airs on RTP Açores, hosted by Pedro Moura.


Check-In

September 25-Ana and Bruno Ávila's project proposal was accepted by RTP Açores TV channel and is in pre-production. Check-In is a weekly TV show that the two of them are going to host. The program is about dreams- the fights and the flights that come with them. Ana and Bruno are currently working on the pilot.

September 25- Ana was interviewed on RDP Açores radio station.

5 Para a Meia-Noite

September 18- Ana was one of the guests on 5 Para a Meia-Noite, a Portuguese talk show hosted by Luís Filipe Borges, that airs at 5 to midnight on RTP2.


Bruma

September- After shooting in São Miguel, Azores, for a week, Ana will be editing the trailer for her 2012 feature Bruma, in order to start fundraising and looking for the right cast and crew.

Back in Portugal

In order to get her Visa, Ana has started putting documentation together, asking for help and trying to get as much projection as possible.

E! Entertainment Television

July/ August- The show True Hollywood Story Investigates: Serial Killers on the Loose, in which Ana plays several victims will air on the 25th of July at 3 PM, on the 28th at 5 PM and on the 2nd of August at 7 AM on E.

Filming in the Azores

August- Ana, Monica Cabral and Frederico Amaral will be shooting the trailer for the movie Ana wants to produce in three years in the Azores, in São Miguel at the end of August.

Meant

July 23 to 26- Ana will be rehearsing and shooting Meant, Victor Padilla's new short film, and she will play Claudia, the lead.

New Projects

July 3- Ana has just finished shooting Eve is Dead and will be shooting two other projects in July: a feature's trailer directed by Dale Fabrigar and a short film directed by Victor Padilla. Ana is also getting new headshots with Joanna Brooks.

New Short Film

June/ July- Ana is currently rehearsing the new short film she is going to star in: Eve is Dead, directed by S. Mohen. She will be playing Raquel and the film is going to be shot at the beginning of July.

Hollywood

June 12- Ana has just arrived to Los Angeles. She has restarted shooting On The Verge, has three auditions in the next few days and is gonna take more acting classes with Marjo-Riikka Makela.

New TV Series

May- Ana booked another guest-star role in the new Portuguese TV series Perfeito Coração, an SP Televisão production for the Portuguese channel SIC. She was going to play a nurse, but had to turn down the part because the shooting dates interfere with her plans in L.A.

Los Angeles

June-Ana is going to Los Angeles to finish shooting the WRDF On the Verge and to possibly act in the next Ascentia Films' feature.

Directing

April- After spending some days in her island and getting inspired by its beauty, Ana started to write her own feature, which she isn't planning to start shooting before 2011. She also took a Filmmaking workshop with Miguel Estima in Coimbra, during the Caminhos do Cinema Português Film Festival. 


Dialogues
' Premiere in Switzerland

March- After working with director Owen Land in his latest feature Dialogues, Ana was invited to go to Bern (Switzerland) as his Anima to read a lecture written by him at the movie's premiere and opening of his film work exhibition at Kunsthalle Bern Museum on April 3rd.


TV Series

February- Ana booked a guest-star role in the Portuguese TV series Podia Acabar o Mundo. She shot during March and her scenes can be seen on the Portuguese TV  channel SIC from May 11th onwards.

Artists-in-Residence Program

January-Ana was selected to stay in Póvoa de Lanhoso for two months and be part of an Artists-in-Residence Program. The goal was to go through an intensive actor's workout with the director Moncho Rodriguez and perform in two shows: O Cálice da Alegria and Da Pedra ao Sonho.


Short Film

January-Ana booked a short film that was shot in Lisbon during February. She played Teresa and co-starred with Hugo Ramos. The film was directed by the Academia's filmmaking students.
