Ana was born in Coimbra, but before she turned two, she went to the island of São Miguel, in the Azores. Her first performance was in a Christmas play in elementary school and she got so fascinated by this experience that she immediately started dreaming about becoming an actress. However, the Acting business didn't exist in the Portuguese islands and, because she had to create opportunities herself, she would perform every time there was a party or when she had to do class presentations. During high school, she decided to make a pact with her parents: if she completed an University degree in the shortest time possible, they would make her wish of studying Acting in Hollywood come true.
She went to the main land to study Law at the University of Lisbon and as soon as classes started she enrolled into the Law School's Theater course. She was selected to become a member of the School's Company, joined two other Theatre Groups and acted in student and professional short-films and features. Although she was doing what she loved and not really enjoying to study Law, she found enough strength to keep fighting and to succeed in her part of the deal.

When Ana got her Law degree, she went straight to Los Angeles, where she took the one year Acting for Film Conservatory Program at the New York Film Academy (Universal Studios). After the Program she was authorized to work in the U.S. for another year, so she started getting several auditions a day and signed with two different agencies and her actual manager. Ana performed at the Victory Theatre, the Dorie Theatre, The Lizard Theatre and the Bootleg Theatre, as well as worked in several commercials, short-films, music videos, feature films and TV shows. She also kept taking acting, casting and accent reduction classes and attended lots of casting director workshops.
When her Visa expired, Ana decided the best thing to do would be to come back to her country, so she could build a solid career in Portugal, apply for an Artist Visa and then come back to Los Angeles to continue what she has successfully started. She has signed with one of the top Portuguese agencies, acted in dozens of short films and in some plays, features, TV shows and web series, and even made some of her own projects come to life.
Even though the so expected opportunity hasn't arisen yet, she is out there happily fighting to deserve it.
